The Short List
In 2002 Mike faced Bob in Mixed Doubles at the U.S. Open. This was the first time they faced each other from opposite sides of the net in mixed doubles. As children their parents did not allow them to compete with one another so they took turns taking defaults as the occassion would arise. Mike and his partner Lisa Raymond defeated Bob and Slovenia's Katarina Srebotnik, 7-6, 7-6.
- Earned first Grand Slam title at the 2003 French Open winning the doubles with twin brother, Bob
- With 11 titles, the Bryans are the most successful brothers team in The Open Era
- Bronze medal winners at the Pan-Am Games in 1999
- Reached doubles' Semi-finals at both the U.S. Open and Wimbledon in 2002
- Won 2008 Olympic Games bronze medal with twin brother Bob
- A combined 19-0 in doubles and 42-1 in singles with brother Bob at Stanford before leaving early for the professional circuit in 1998
- Plays drums in "The Bryan Brothers Band" with Bob and father, Wayne
- Volunteers for a number of charities including WECANN, for abused and neglected children; Andrea Jaeger's Silver Lining Foundation; and Elton John's AIDS Foundation
- Mike is the first born by two whole minutes
- The "neat freak" out of the two, according to Bob
